Hi Mat! I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I assure you the readership size of this blog doesn’t justify it

As I stated above I think the argument is two-fold: 1) the Internet is affecting the way we think; and 2) this will negatively change people. When you say it fails I assume you’re referring to the second limb of the argument. I suppose the difference is that I don’t see the inconclusiveness of the evidence meaning the argument collapses: only that it needs to be further explored (as Nick himself suggests).

Michael, I will agree with you that Nick doesn’t smell That said, I still think his point is overstated, with very little in the way of evidence for his central thesis. I grant you that some of the issues he raises are interesting, and definitely worth pondering, but that’s not how the article is positioned (and you are quite right that the headline is part of the problem). It is structured as a coherent argument, and I think on that basis it fails. In any case, I apologize if I have disappointed you — please keep reading

Glad I could help Just remember my versions are for Windows and don’t include the Mac files. Chris does have a post up mentioning that some people are having problems. He’s invited anyone that does to drop him a line so he can try to figure out what’s going wrong.
